As the vehicle entered the curve a catastrophic tire failure occurred in the front right tire resulting in sudden air loss. The vehicle pulled to the right as the trooper attempted to steer to the left. The vehicle struck the guardrail on the right shoulder and eventually came to rest between the vectors of the path of the curve and the path of travel.
